Pineapple for mid morning snacks...

I love pineapple and it is one of my favorite fruit. Yesterday I picked up a big juicy one. Today in the morning after my exercise and morning chores, I cut it into pieces and kept it in a box in refrigerator. Phew!! Cutting a pineapple can be a messy task. I will take it out at 11 and will have it after 15 minutes with my children. Sweet fruits like pineapple take care of my sweet cravings as I don't take anything with sugar or man made sweetness in it. What are your plans for snacks today?? Have a great time

You are right, pineapple is a messy task to clean. I never have snacks, but I like fruits with my breakfast.

Yes. But all the effort and mess was worth the treat. I have to have frequent small meals to control my sugar levels. So I take snacks in between meals.

We have plenty of pineapples in our land (in Kerala). My grandfather used to pluck it whenever he sees a ripened one in the land (as it was his routine to inspect the places when he was alive). It was a difficult task to cut the same. If any one cut and make pieces then within no time the plate become empty. If no one take any interest to cut, it will stay there without touching it. Still I don't enjoy to cut it. Here in Delhi street vendors do this jobs (if you wish to cut it by them).

@arunima25 Yes, but every one is lazy to do work for the same. Then products from our land won't be on much demand unlike from market.

We do get peeled ones in supermarket. But they are not so fresh. Freshly plucked from land would be even tastier.

@Sreekala So well said! We never valued mangoes and litchi in childhood as it was in our land. Now I buy the same at sky soaring prices.

Fruits are good as snacks - tasty as well as healthy. Yes Pineapple can be tricky to cut and use.

I mostly have fruits or nuts and dates for my snacks. They are safe for my diabetes and healthy too. Moreover they satisfy my sweet craving.

I love pineapples, I think it is a great juice and I guess it has good benefits for one's health. But I am more enjoying it as juice than eaiting it. I don't know why!

Many people enjoy it as juice. Some have sensitive teeth for it. I enjoy fresh fruits more than their juice.

I agree that cutting a pineapple is hard work. I've just indulged in a small bowl of popcorn.

Yes. Even my sister in law has sensitivity towards pineapple and does not like it. I love watermelons.
