We're at our daughter's house in Charleston for Mother's Day weekend. Our grandaughter arrived from Charlotte and this afternoon we went to the coolest restaurant for supper.
It was the Grace and Grit Restaurant here in Mt Pleasant. Of course they specialize in all kinds of grit recipes, so if you're not fond of grits, you might not like it as much as we did!
My husband and I had the grilled porkchop with bourbon bbq sauce, peaches and cream grits, butterbeans, corn fritters with hot honey drizzle, and cajun shrimp. Well, he couldn't have the fritters since they had gluten, but the meal was fantastic.
I think I may still be too full for breakfast in the morning. Goodnight, y'all.

Sounds like you're enjoying yourselves. That mention of that food made me so hungry but I have never tried grits.

That all sounds great except for the shrimp.

It sounds fun, interesting and very tasty!
So much better with your family members, of course.
I can handle plain grits occasionally, with just butter and salt. I'm sure I'd enjoy those fancy grits recipes much more!

Actually, I like just plain grits with salt and pepper better! But it was fun being with the kids.

I love grits, but peaches and cream grits were a little strange! That's our granddaughter holding her dog Winnie and trying to get him used to his new "cousin" Saint, our grandson's new puppy.
