Do You Drink Coffee at Night?

I know many people can't drink coffee at night or else they are awake all night long. I am not one of those people. I can drink a cup of coffee at night and then go to bed and fall right asleep. I love coffee and will drink it whenever the mood hits. Tonight I was in the mood for a fresh cup of coffee. So I made a pot. My hubby even had a cup. It was refreshing after making a run to the local store for a loaf of bread. It was still raining lightly and I got a little bit chilled. So the cup of coffee was just the thing to break the chill. Do you ever drink coffee in the late afternoon or evening? I'm hoping that I will find a few more who indulge in my crazy habit. Photo: Pixaby, public domain

I have never tried to get used to the decaf. I used to need the caffeine to keep me awake when I worked. lol

@LindaOHio Me either but it doesn't keep me awake anyway, just adds a little zip to my step. Ha.

At all times, even at nights. It does make me sleep like a baby!

It doesn't bother me with sleeping. I actually find it relaxing sometimes at night to have a cup.

@jvicentevalera I just had a cup there in the late afternoon. I"m exhausted and just thinking about taking a nap which I will probably do.

@kareng I doesn't bother me either. If the weather wasn't this hot right now, I would be drinking a cup of coffee now, but I'd rather take it when it gets darker and a little chillier!

If I am really in the mood, I might drink like half a cup or so, but drinking more than that, would probably really effect my sleep, and it isn't just coffee..drinking ice tea, soda or anything like that can be a problem.

That is true. All the sodas are loaded with caffeine.

@snowy22315 True, I must have been almost asleep. Sprite with no caffeine is my favorite. I drink non-caffeinated soft drinks mainly.

It is pretty rare for me to hit it in the evening hours also. Sometimes I have a craving for it or if we are out to dinner I will have a cup following dinner or with dessert depending on what it is.

It is time for my final cup of coffee. I drink two in the morning, and one around this time. When I do that I do not wake up with a headache.

I have never had the headaches from caffeine or caffeine withdrawal that I have heard some suffer from. And with that...knock on wood.

I have never gotten into cold or iced coffees. I guess you just have to get a feel for it or develop the like.

I try not to have coffee/tea/caffeine after 11:00am (or sooner). I can always get to sleep at night no problem, but if I am caffeined up, I will wake up around 2-3am and can't get back to sleep. I have friends who say they can drink coffee at anytime and it doesn't affect them.

Wow, 11 am is early cut-off but we have to be sensitive and know what is best for our own body. We are all different.

I don’t drink coffee, but I also avoid all caffeine. My mom will drink coffee at 8pm and not understand why she has a hard time sleeping.

I hear you. We used to have to drink very strong coffee at one of my jobs to stay warm during hearings where I had to organize files and take notes. It was always freezing in there. It was boring stuff also dealing with pipeline right aways, so the coffee also kept us awake. lol
