relief

I went to the doctor. We agreed not to increase my meds, but instead to sign me off work for a month. I feel relieved. He sent me the links for some podcasts. He told me to concentrate on me for the next few weeks, to not feel guilt about work and to do things which make me feel happy and content. Also, not to drink tea after about 4pm. Or coffee, but I rarely drink coffee. However, tea is a supper routine which may be difficult to break. Our GP surgery has a walk in clinic in the mornings. First come, first served. I always say that I don't mind which GP I see {hence why I've only met my registered GP once in fourteen years} and as a result I tend to get the Junior Doctor who is only there for twelve short weeks as he practices being a GP in lots of different surgeries. I LOVE junior doctors. They are kind and compassionate, they listen and they really do want to help you, often coming up with possible solutions that a more experienced GP may not consider. Plus, because they're still learning, appointment blocks are half an hour rather than just ten minutes. No pressure, no rush. Always try to see the Junior Doctor. They are amazing. On the walk home I was amused by two ladybirds getting their jiggle on. I am easily amused, no?

Good to know that you got some relief and you are happy with junior doctors. I think some doctors are good irrespective of their gender and age. It depends on the individual. Anyway it does not much matter here. You take care of health.

To be fair, I've found all the doctors I've seen at my surgery to be absolutely smashing. I think the extra time that trainees have makes it seem better.

Yes, junior doctors are actually nice since they are new to the profession, and have time to listen to our issue. Also I think they have high level of enthusiasm and are passionate.

I'm so glad that you are feeling somewhat better. I saw your last post but didn;t know what to say, so didn't say anything. We don't seem to get many junior doctors in our practice but there are some good ones, though they all seem to change rather frequently, and I try to book an appointment with the ones I prefer. It's not easy to break a habit, is it! You might want to try decaffeinated tee or one of the herbal teas (chamomile is supposed to be calming and good before bed). If the ladybirds are having it away in the elder bushes, it must be Spring! Let's hope they will be lots of those little voracious black-with-red-spots ladybird larvae to suck all those greenfly dry and keep the roses looking good.

@Poppylicious When empty (and filled with hot water), the bottles make something very comforting to have in bed on a cold night, as well!

Cute little ladybirds, I like them. I agree about Junior Doctors, they show more humanity than older doctors. I stopped drinking coffee after 2 pm, I do not drink tea, but coffee was a habit. My last one is the espresso immediately after lunch.

@Poppylicious To be honest NO, some nights I sleep pretty well and some nights I toss and turn until early morning.

'tis a shame they can't all be that way. relieved no change'n yer meds, jest the chance fer time to heal.
