“Aw honey, I say little red corvette
Baby, you’re much too fast
Little red corvette
You need a love that’s gonna last”
Okay, “Little Red Corvette” is not about the actual car but a sexual metaphor. I told you Corvettes were sexy! The singer has had a one night stand with a promiscuous woman whom he labels Little Red Corvette and sex with her is like a limousine ride. He also cautions she needs to change her ways or end up badly. The Prince composition employed a drum machine and synthpop flavor rare for him. From the album “1999,” “Little Red Corvette” was Prince’s first top 10 hit at Billboard #6.

Prince needed to be in rehab like that weirdo Michael Jackson. It was a shame for them to squander their talent like that. They both had great songs.
