Have you ever tried honey-containing eye medication ? I was told that there was eye medication that can cure you of cataract. I happened to search for it at nearby medicine stores and I found it and bought it. I tried and and ouch! It was so sore in the eyes. No wonder many people would rather not use it. Have you ever tried eye drops containing honey?

NO, this can be extremely dangerous, I only use the eyes drops that my doctor prescribes.

@yanzalong I never put anything in my eyes without the approval of my eyes doctor, I have glaucoma and I do not want to risk to become blind.

i am using an eyedrop because my eyes always gets irritated. it was prescribed by my doctor. i think i would not use any eyedrop that is not prescribed by a doctor. it may harm your eyes instead of curing it...

@yanzalong it is safe if the medications we are using were prescribed by a doctor.. though it costs us money as payment for the check up but still it's better to be safe than not...

I would think honey might damage your eyes! I'm not aware of any medicine that can cure cataracts, only surgery.

I'd think it might damage if the honey is not genuine.

i love eyedrops when they feel like water. i wouldn't want to use enything that's going to hurt, even if it's a cure.

Eyedrops containing Manuka honey are sold under the name of Optimel. They are of value in treating dry, itchy eyes and may help to get rid of infections. There is NO evidence whatsoever - and the product makes no such claims - that they will help with, prevent or cure cataracts. Always consult a reputable doctor before using any medication like this and tell him/her if you you intend using it.

I didn't think I would use it, I had to make sure it was safe or not.
