Good Thing We Have a New Mayor

Am so happy with the results of the recent midterm elections; we have a new mayor. New local executive who won over that one who had been sitting for nine years at the city hall.
The new mayor promised to do a lot of changes for the people; unlike the incumbent one who had been at his post and we saw the degradation of our city; so dirty, traffic congestion, poor infrastructures, and less discipline and order.
We hope the new mayor would be true to his promises.

There are so many politicians in our country who run for three terms; so they sit as mayor for nine years!

There's always hope for the new mayor, but reality sinks in when he's on the job.
I hope he keeps his promises during his / her term.

i hope this new mayor don't let'cha down, hon. those politicians truly make loads 'f promises (i like to believe they've good 'ntentions), but 't seems they rarely carry 'em to fruition.

@acelawrites i think some've good 'ntentions, jest lack the capability to fight the rest who've gotta be 'nboard fer the actual decision makin'. others're jest bought'n paid fer by special 'nterest groups, jest offerin' empty promises from the get-go so's folks'll put'em'n positions 'f power.
