Dig that crazy Caddy swinging retro rockabilly style. “Well it’s the finest looking car that ever rolled off the line Any other car would just be wasting your time Ooh one fine day I’m gonna make a Cadillac mine” The Stray Cats singlehandedly revived rockabilly in the mainstream for a brief period during the 80s with hits like “Rock This Town” and “Stray Cat Strut.” The trio were influenced by the 50s greats and pioneers like Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochran and that sound comes across in their music albeit with a punkish new wave edge. From the gold album “Rant ‘N Rave with the Stray Cats,” “Look at the Cadillac” was written by lead vocalist Brian Setzer and stalled at Billboard #68.
