5/18/1934 - Dwayne Hickman was born. He is a former actor, director and CBS television executive. He changed his mind about becoming a priest and going to Loyola University and started acting instead.
In 1942 he was in an Our Gang comedy. 1955-59 he was on the Bob Cummings Show, 1959-63 he played Dobie Gillis on the Many Loves of Dobie Gillis along with his friend Bob Denver that played Maynard G. Krebs. He played a teen when he was actually 25. 1977-1988 he was a programming executive at CBS, late 1980s he directed TV episodes.

I have seen many old shows like Gilligan's Island and The Donna Reed Show but I have never seen Dobbie Gillis I will check on YouTube to find out what it is all about.
