Something strange happened to me while I was sleeping last night....

I will try to describe this the best way I can but it was so strange. I don't really know if I was dreaming the whole way through but I can only assume I was. But this is what happened. I was laying on my right side, then that feeling came over me like I was being watched. Haven't had that in a long time. I was paralysed. Then my body slowly turned so that I was on my back. Then it felt like my body was being lifted. I could feel the bed behind my back disappearing. Then I sat up, stood up and said to myself "Holy crap I'm in a lucid dream." I knew that I was dreaming. Then all of a sudden I was back in my bed on my right side. Felt like I was being watched, paralysed, body turned, felt like I was floating then stood up again. This dream or whatever the hell happened last night repeated itself 4 times in a row. Only things that were different was when I stood up and felt amazed that I knew I was dreaming. My actions and thoughts were different each time this happened and I knew that I was stuck in a cycle. 4 times in a row. On right side, couldn't move, slowly turning body onto back, being lifted or like my soul was trying to leave me but it felt amazing whatever was happening, then I'd stand up in my room then "wake up" on my right side in my bed again. Have you ever had anything like this before?

You had an out-of-body experience, the sensation to perceive the world from a location outside your physical body. This happened to me. Are you a bit stressed or tired recently?

@VivaLaDani13 No problem to talk about my experience. For me it happened exactly as it happened to you, I had the feeling that I was looking down at my body and that I went to visit my niece and looked at her. What scared me is the fact that my niece told me that she opened the eyes during the night and she had the feeling to see me watching at her. I have not yet researched about this, but I know that I was very stressed when this happened.

@LadyDuck wow! Anna, thank you so much for sharing this with me. I've never spoken to anyone who has had the same experience as me. How weird with what your niece said too! So I was researching it a little bit and Astral Travel kept coming up too. If I understand it right, that is the same as Out Of Body Experience? Is it like our souls leaving our bodies? It is all amazing but I am sorry that this happened while you were very stressed.

@LadyDuck That thought did occur to me but I wasn't sure. This has happened once before only I was floating and looking down at my body. That was during a very stressful time. As for now, yeah you could say I'm stressed, tired and full of worry with some things. I would love to researching this subject some more. May I please know about your experience if it's ok for you to talk about?

@LowRiderX Not at all. Only thing I didn't like was feeling paralysed. I've had that a lot in my life but especially during a certain time but I might talk about that another day. It wasn't a very good time for me.

@LowRiderX I understand. If you ever want to tell me, I can promise you I won't judge or make fun because I have been through hell with people and....other beings.....It can be hard to open up to people if they have never experienced anything similar.

@VivaLaDani13 Sure is not good time for you. I would be scared. That reminds me of something, but I would probably sound funny to other people

Oh, that's kinda weird, because I know I commented to this discussion already but it isn't appearing, anyway I'll try to type it once again. I encountered this for multiple times, the fastest way for you to wake up is to forcefully move your feet! That is what I always do, and that is also what my older brother does (He is a nurse) so when I have a lucid dream and see myself and feels that someone watching me sleeping and I can't move I'm trying to push or move my feet, But the bad side of me for moving my feet is that there's a wall beside of my bed, so every time I have a lucid dream and forcibly move my feet, it ends with hurting my thumb on my feet! On the morning, there's a bloat on my feet

@VivaLaDani13 No worries, I already tested it to myself, You can't move your body and your mouth, but you can move your feet (but you need to force it) lucid dream is one of the hardest things since you can't move or shout. Yeah! My thumb looks sad on those days,

@tech40 Oops I'm sorry that would be my fault. I deleted it for a second because I thought I wanted to alter some of what I said and I re-posted it. That is interesting. It's something I could try but I imagine that would be hard to move my feet if I'm feeling like I can't move in general. Thank you for letting me know about this. LOL! oh dear! Poor thing!

@tech40 I'm not sure about lucid dreams being hard to wake up from as I haven't had them enough to test that out. But it is extremely hard to move when paralysed. aw poor darling!

I am amazed how you have described the entire thing, it seems you are more happy than scared. Anyhow, may be a dream that looks more real

@Aansh13 lol yeah I'm glad that it wasn't a scary thing. I've had enough scary events. But yeah it's rare but sometimes I have lucid dreams which are cool. Means I'm more in control of what happens in the dream.

@Aansh13 Apparently it is something we need to train our brain for. I don't know if that is true or it just happens to people naturally. I have spoken to some who can do that every night which amazes me. Wish I could do that every time I slept.

Nope. As if I was just watching a horror movie as I read your post. That's horrible. Sorry, I have no idea on that particular situation.

That could be some enjoyable and scary experience. Did you have it for the first time? I can't remember me having such a trance.

@Sojourn Thankfully I wasn't scared. Only time I felt unpleasant was when I couldn't move. The rest was fun and interesting. I haven't experienced anything like that. I mean the whole thing repeating itself. But I have had a few lucid dreams in the past. And I have had MAN MANY times where I was paralysed but those times did frighten me as I thought I was being watched by something.
