Move to new place for living

Do your parents, friends family or relative family already moved to a new place for living and able to let go or sell off all the things such as their houses, furnitures, car(s), business and so on? How did it begin and how are they now?

Since we are away from native place, seen lot of people relocating their lives to new place. They do sell the things at home and move off. Some may take the things with them and transport the same to their new place.

@Acefun It is a usual scene, because every one knows that you have to sell, so they expect it on low price. You too don't have any other choice but to grab whatever price available. Else you can do one thing, if the items are good then pack it and shift those to new place.

It is true but if this happen to my family,it does take time to sell all the items and if it is sold in cheap price then I will feel disappointed.

People do that often, to upgrade their standards or for better opportunities. They just list down the things they want to get rid off and... Start selling to the people who need them, in case of emergency they don't bargain much

It is still uncertain that the better opportunities is a right and wise decision. I need to let go a lot of things (family, car and etc) and renting a room in new place. My parents are not able to move to another state with me as hey have their business and 2 houses etc.

We have not experienced selling our properties to move to another place, none. It would surely be sickening for it's not easy to forget the memories with close neighbors and the friendship built for years to peers.

I agree too. Those memory will reflect in our mind when we see something that with us for long time.

My parents thought of moving to anothrr place a few years ago. It's because of our annoying neighbor. They came from another province. The original owner sold the house because of financial issues. Eversince then, we could not get along well with them. The other neighbors have issues with them as well.

We have moved lots of time but have now been in our present house for 16 years which is a record for us.
