National Waiters and Waitresses Day Dinosaur Day 1881 - The Red Cross was established by Clara Barton in Washington, D. C. 1917 - Raymond Burr was born. He was a Canadian-American actor. He's been on Broadway, radio, TV and movies. He usually plays the villian. In 1954 he starred in the Hitchcock film Rear Window. From 1957-66 he was on Perry Mason and won 2 Emmys. When he was on Ironside he was nominated for 6 Emmys and 2 Golden Globes. 1984 - He was in Godzilla. 1996 - Was ranked #44 of the 50 Greatest TV Stars of All Time by TV Guide. He died in 1993.
