Text Messaging Problem?

Ever since yesterday I have been having an issue with the text messaging on my phone. I can receive texts, but they won't send out. I just get an error message.
I thought maybe I just had too many messages on my phone, so I deleted some...but that didn't do anything. I also restarted my phone...but still getting an error message. Actually now it is just stuck on the "sending" message.
Have you had an issue like this before? If so....how did you resolve it?

The trouble is my phone is full so I don't have room to do an update! Glad restarting helped when you had this issue.
Something worked, and I was able to send the message finally. I tried deleting the message and resending it and that worked.

It finally did send....but probably not because my phone has no space!
