Venturing to food

I’m so overwhelmed at the moment watching videos on Youtube about how to earn by cooking food as business. Nowadays, people rush to school and offices and some of them don’t have time to cook and eat breakfast. Especially here in our area. School is coming and students once again will flock the area and this makes me think of cooking an easy to eat food such as Pastil. Pastil or Pastel, is a Filipino packed rice dish made with steamed rice wrapped in banana leaves with dry shredded beef, chicken, or fish. I can sell them for only 10 pesos or $.53. I can sell them here in the morning and in the center as well. What do you think? Photo is mine of Pastel I bought.!

It might be worth trying out atleast. You are right, people are becoming busier and are also looking for cheaper meal options.

It might work if you know the market you are going to target. Just make sure that you make enough to be consumed in a day and no leftovers left so you are sure of a profit. The problem with food business is spoilage where you cannot resell them the next day if it was not sold in a day. But if you find regular customers already then that would not become a problem anymore for you.

That is our target. Mostly we have a lot of workers and students here. For the first day, we will try to make 10 pieces first. If it is okay then we will make more.

Go for it Bhem. You have a niche there because when school opens you have students , yayas and parents who will be buying from you. It is important that you make them delicious, so they will keep coming back for your foods. Also make a variety and your price I think is okay.

@JustBhem That sounds great, Thanks for the idea! I'm no longer working in the office, but while in the office I have lots of friends maybe they're gonna like it, plus I'm near to the office where I'm working before

Are you still working in an office? If you are. This Pastel is a good start for you. It will only cost less and for sure will give you good profit. You just need to be positive about it.

@JustBhem Well, you cannot oblige your brother to cook for you and then to keep the money I suppose.

i have no idea. We have so many fast food places, I think it would be hard to sell home cooked food here. I hope it works for you. Good luck.
