Yesterday there was a big traffic accident in my city.
I don't really know the reason. But this driver wore a pair of wrong shoes and it is one of the reasons. Her wore platform shoes and it is not suitable for driving at all. You could see the attached photo.
I think she should wear suitable shoes when she drove. It is not troublesome to have a pair of shoes for driving in the car. This kind of accident can be avoided if she cares about the drivingn security.

@youless Too high heels, flip-flop, slippers and bare feet are not allowed. Hard that they notice you, so the risk to be fined is not high, but if you have an accident and the police notice you had not "appropriate shoes", the insurance does not pay.

Yes! They are called "drivers." My personal favorite are from Cole Haan. I have a couple pairs...expensive but when purchased on clearance they are reasonable and they last forever! Here's a picture of one of the kinds I have...I also have some that are fleece lined and so awesome in the winter!

@Mavic123456 The biggest thing is the bottom of the shoe. There are grips that are made to grip the pedals properly, plus they are flexible without a hard sole so as you bend your foot to drive you stay gripped to the pedal while still being comfortable.

@youless I think that is a good idea! I think it's very wise to drive in shoes that is comfortable as well as safe.

@youless I did not understand the best, I always drive in comfortable shoes or sports shoes, I certainly do not wear a high heel, never. That's why I never have a spare shoes. And we all drive in the family, so if for some reason I can not drive, one of the family members drives

I keep a pair of drivers in my car - regular in the summer and then fleece lined in the winter. I'll change into those if I'm wearing flip-flops, backless sandals, heels...or any other shoes that I don't feel comfortable driving in.
