All of my life I have laughed at this scene
Was the scene of Doris Day in her film with a washing machine
It got filled up with soap bubbles
Frothy and foamy soap that bubbled out and over
Out and over onto the floor
Bubbles even got as far as the door
That washing machine just kept going and going
Until someone got in there waist high and soaked to the skin
To stop that soap bubble producing machine
Too much soap powder was it?
Maybe not, maybe they just used the wrong stuff
So when a said person came yesterday
I laughed and laughed to myself of course
Washing all my "sorrows" away
Thank you Doris for such a wonderful funny film
Said person said he knew how to fix our washing machine
Of course he did not know how to
Twas all just a dream
He had the rubber pipe the wrong way round
Water, water had been coming out
Now the truth hit him with a big clout
So endeth the tale of the washing machine.
Got fixed in the end but not without a load of hassle.
I was sort of dreading this do it yourself owner of this house coming around to fix that washing machine.
You could not mention the word help from the people who really knew as the dirty word money came up and he would start to get angry.
I hate having to be right but I was it was the rubber he had not put in properly was letting all the water out.
Story cut short Doris Day helped me out with the memory of her very funny film about the washing Machine not sure if it was with James Garner as well.
How has he managed to look so good all of his life?
Film was actually called "The Thrill Of It All" and its quite surprising to not be able to find the actual scene on youtube.
Words of the washing machine poem or whatever you want to call it are all my own.

I should think that with her passing which was about a week ago now they should be showing a couple of her films around the world but here they have not either.
It was a very good funny film.

@LadyDuck
I am not much of a fan either but for documentaries about places you could never get to see otherwise that is something else to consider.

To tell you the truth I did not know she was a singer and this was in England when I was small I saw the film the Thrill Of It All with her and James Garner.
She has lived to a great age also.
I think the copyright is blocking any chance of seeing the soap suds scene.

No, its ages old so much that I don´t think hardly anyone will remember it.
I saw it with my sister I think it was and she put too much soap powder in a top loading machine and she went to answer the phone I think and the machine got too many soap bubbles and out of control.
She was very funny but I can´t find a video yet on youtube about it and its not really unheard of either.
Going to go back again to see if some kind soul put a bit of the film about her somewhere.

I am so glad that other people have seen that film as I was starting to think it was just me that had seen it and no one else.
I liked her a lot with James Garner and well because I liked him as well.
