2019 Health Journey -- Day 142 (May 22nd)

Hello everyone, hope you had a good Wednesday! I'm back to share my food/health post for the day. Blood sugars for the day? Fasting: 118 Meal 1: 104 Meal 2: 106 Meal 3: 71 For my first meal I just had a bunch of deli meat and a cheese stick. I wasn't in the mood to cook, or have one of my already prepared meals. Then, for my second meal I had tuna with mayo & no sugar added ketchup. I also had one of my low carb/sugar free peanut butter candies for a snack/dessert. Then for my final meal I had one of the enchiladas I made the other day. Macros: 1,219 calories 88 protein 82 fat 23 net carbs I think I did okay for the day....My protein is a little too high, but that is okay. I still kept my carbs fairly low. I count net carbs since fiber doesn't get digested (I think) so it doesn't affect blood sugar. I also don't count most sugar alcohols/substitutes. I don't normally use the ones that I would have to count though (like maltodextrin or maltitol). Anyways....how do you think I did? How did YOU do as well? Anything good on the menu?

I forgot to take my medicine last night so I woke with it 191, I had a couple egg rolls and it jacked, even after taking meds, I slept then checked it and it was still 260. So I just had salad for dinner. I will check it again before bed. Your numbesr are good.

Oh wow, sorry you woke with it that high after not taking your meds! Sorry it went up so high, I know those highs are not fun to go through! Hopefully it will be better before bed. Thank you, my numbers are usually pretty good while I eat very low carb. So I will stick to it as much as possible.
