Tomfoolery is one of those words that I've heard several times through the years, but I've never used it.
I've included a link to an article that might be of interest to other word nerds like me! It explains some of the history of various "Toms", dating as far back as the 13th century, and how the name became linked to silliness and stupidity.
I think "tomfoolery" is a fun word, although it's not used by every Tom, Dick and Harry.
Have you ever heard it or used it in a sentence?

Thanks @Sojourn. That's an old, well-known phrase, at least here in the US. Maybe it wasn't filtered because it's a real name.

I've read about some of the ridiculous things the system flags! Tomfoolery indeed!

@BloggerDi I l know that phrase very well.
But the 'Tomfoolery' of the automated systems might have flagged it to be inappropriate in a public forum.

I have heard of it before. My friends and I participated in a lot of tomfoolery in high school.

I think many of us did that during high school years!

I saw this word in English literature before, and knew about its meaning.
Once in a while might be okay.
