On Vacation

One more week and we fly out of Florida to our home up north in Connecticut. Before all the packing, shipping, and cleaning begin, my husband wants me in vacation mode to enjoy more of this beautiful paradise we are so lucky to have. So I started today.
We were invited by friends to meet at our pool for sunning, gabbing, and swimming. We are going out for happy hour and dinner with them a little later. I did a bit of retail therapy over the phone, and everything will be shipped north.
Orville the osprey and his son still visit and hover above me when I call them despite being chased by that awful bird in my photo. He has tried to befriend me, but I ignore him.
My back feels wonderful today, but I’m being very cautious. After my chiropractor appointment tomorrow, we will resume our Friday date night. I already know that next Friday my son and daughter-in-law are going out to dinner with us! So excited!
So, as we enjoy our last days in sunny Florida, I will drop by myLot when I have down time. I hope you understand.

@allknowing I do, too, but not this particular one who attacks my Orville. It’s a mother type feeling of protection.

I'm so glad you are enjoying your time before leaving again. =) I hope your appointment goes well. Of course we all understand-life is meant to be lived. So, enjoy it!

It will be sad seeing you leave paradise, but I know you'll be back for more soon! Enjoy your last few days in Florida, and have a grand time when you return to Connecticut.

So glad your back is better. Mine too is acting up but I have a bulging disc to deal with- and it gets worse with lifting, housework etc. so try not to do too much of that. lol Yes, don't hurry back as the weather north has been cooler than usual and rainy.

Thank you! I’m alternating icing and heating and will see the chiropractor again today. Your back sounds much worse than mine.
I’m glad we didn’t return north in April as we used to do. I heard all about the nasty spring, and hope it improves by next week. lol

It will be several months before You come back here in winter.The osprey would feel sad if it knew you were going to leave.

@BelleStarr I hate to wear the same thing over and over, so my new old clothes will be new again in CT. I only ship what’s new and my designer bags and a few pair of shoes. I can’t bear to leave them here just in case.

Wonderful photo. Glad your back is feeling so much better. By June I will be sitting by the water's edge letting the ocean swirl around me.

@DianneN yes, I can walk to the beach and plop myself right by the Atlantic Ocean. However, with my luck, if I sit close enough to the water a giant wave will whisk me away

We had a wonderful time, thanks. My friend gathered things I wanted, and is throwing in extra goodies including another yoga mat of all things. I hope my back is well enough to use it. My chiropractor wants me to sign up for yoga classes and flexibility classes as soon as we go north.
