What movies can you watch over and over again? Almost any movie with Robert De Niro starring in it is one I'll watch again. Some examples are Godfather II, Casino, Godfellas, Cape Fear, The Mission, Raging Bull, Meet The Fockers, The Deer Hunter.....well you get the idea. Another movie I would add to this list is Shawshank Redemption starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman. Great story and according to many critics one of the best nominated movies not to win the Oscar. The Academy Award for best picture went Forrest Gump that year. So, what's your choice for best movie which deserves an encore presentation? Photo- imdb.com & youtube.com

@dgobucks226 -- totally agree about Newman in Cool Hand Luke. I guess they figured George Kennedy's Best Supporting Actor trophy was good enough for everyone. (Not hardly: you count how few lines Newman had in that movie and you'll see just what a presence he was!!)

A great list there! Yes, I could watch those three James Dean Classics again and again, East of Eden, Giant, and Rebel Without A Cause. And Paul Newman was great and should of won an Oscar in Cool Hand Luke. A terrific depiction of chain gangs and the cruelty administered to the convicts.

@FourWalls Well said. And the movie he won an Oscar for after so many outstanding prior movie performances was "The Color of Money." Go figure? Heck, even Paul probably would say his role in the Western "Hombre" was just as good.

I always watched The Godfather when it was on AMC. And Casablanca is one I can watch again and again. Here’s looking at you, kid.

@dgobucks226 — there was an episode of Night Court, I think the first season, where Dan had to testify for a judicial review against Harry. He did a spot-on impersonation of Bogie on the stand in The Caine Mutiny.

Yes, Bogie made some great ones didn't he! Another I really like and I watched again recently was The Caine Mutiny. The Treasure of the Sierra Madre was yet another terrific performance and a movie I could watch again. Fun fact: Humphrey Bogarts portrayal of 'Dobbs' in this film was cited by Steven Spielberg as the main inspiration for the character of Indiana Jones.

@FourWalls Ah, Night Court, now that was one great sitcom. I wonder if Bogart impressions were as popular to do as Cary Grant and Gary Cooper?

Apollo 13 is one I've seen enough times to recite the lines with the actors. Braveheart is good. There are too many for me to list as I love to watch movies and if it's good, I'll watch it many times.

That's a nice list. I remember watching Halloween the first time and wondering who was getting killed next. I still get the creeps when the girl tries to elude Michael Myers but her and her boyfriend are both killed

I have seen Somewhere In Time and yes, I agree, that one is worth watching again. Another time traveler movie I enjoyed was The Time Traveler's Wife. Have you seen that one? And as a kid I saw The Time Machine in the movies. Those "Morlocks" who were night creatures made me jump out of my seat when I first saw them! Highly recommend it came out way back in 1960.

I very rarely watch a movie over again. Almost never as there is always a movie I have not seen. The only movie I have seen many times is Miracle on 34th Street.
