I Doubt Alexia Ocassio-Cortez was Offended by Being Campared to Her Comrades, but the Fresno Grizzlies Presentation was Out of Line...

The Fresno Grizzlies (a AAA league baseball team) included a Memorial Day presentation honoring those who have died in the military service of the United States of America. During a quote about the enemies of freedom from Ronald Reagan, photos of Fidel Castro and Kim Jong Il flashed on the screen. In between the two dictators was a picture of New York Representative Alexia Occasio-Cortez. I'm not a fan of hers in the least, and with her love for socialism, I wouldn't be surprised at all if she considers Castro a hero. Maybe even KIm Jong Il for that matter. However, including any US politician as an enemy of freedom destroyed any amount of honor that presentation represented to our fallen troops. It was completely out of line and had no place in such a Memorial Day event. Rep. Ocassio-Cortez was right in demanding an apology and explanation from the team management. Worse yet, the cowards in management passed the buck. They said that they didn't view the presentation and had no knowledge that the New York Representative's image was on it. Bad Form! It has already cost them one major sponsor, Sun Maid Raisins has pulled all association with the team. If you know anything about Fresno, losing a Raisin company sponsorship is a major problem. Hey management, next time make sure the partisan politics is left out of the game!

You think what always should? Yes, while I don't think much of her, I do respect her accomplishing that.

@ParaTed2k The disrespect as your wrote it. Describing her not that you did the same. Thought you were fair and never beating anyone up because they disagree with something, I was taught to respect people even if you do not agree

@crossbones27 Ok, I'm confused with your first comment. You think what always should? I have commented on AOC before, my opinion of her here shouldn't be a surprise. That being said, there was no place for partisan politics in a Memorial Day presentation at the game. I was as bothered by that as any of her supporters. No, I don't support any socialist on any office in the US. Then you posted about her accomplishment of being elected at 29. Yes, I can respect such an accomplishment even if I don't support her. Yes, we can respect people's accomplishments, even if we oppose them in general.
