We have strange visitors including snakes and peacocks. We even had a civet cat not so long ago There is no limit to the number of birds that come to enjoy our garden and frolic in the birdbath specially installed for them. We welcome mongooses too. They are an asset as they chase away reptiles, although they steal food that is kept for cats in the garden.

We have a few mongoose too in our campus. They sometimes surprise us on walks. I've not seen them near the buildings and home though.

@allknowing We have no cables on the ground, they went inside the car from the opened part under the motor and chewed the cables of the car. Those we have are not mongoose, but they are similar.

I hope slowly, you will get visitors as other wild animals, like fox, deer, rabbits etc.

I always was astonished how such small furry babies can be so brave to fight with scary poisonous snakes! Mongooses are great creatures

Having watch mongooses fight snakes with such ferocity. I wonder how they interact with people? Is it safe to be near one?
