How do you usually arrange a party or celebrate on your birthday? How many of your friends usually join the event and did they surprise you with some crazy things? Also which was the best birthday celebration you'd ? I have celebrated birthday functions when I was a kid. Even then, it wasn't year on year. My most unforgettable birthday was some two years ago and I was carrying at that time. My dearest buddy video recorded me right from when I entered the office and she left a surprise under my laptop. The video clearly showed how I reacted to the surprise. It was super crazy.... =) Thanks to her and few other folks who also arranged for a secret cake cutting celebration...

Most of time I don't have a big birthday celebration. I just have dinner with some family members and friends, but I had a party when I turned 30 and again when I turned 40.

@smileyhema Yes, it is nice to celebrate the day with a few family members and close friends. I don't usually eat our traditional birthday cake, but I have dinner with the people I invite.

@Porcospino : that's cool. =) Even we celebrate mostly in that manner. Not necessarily a birthday cake :)

I’m kind of old for parties but my husband will have the kids tell me happy birthday and to not wake me if it’s a weekend to let me sleep in. The kids will sign my husband will do something nice for me and take me out to dinner if he can or wait till the weekend. I have a good few members of birthday’s. When I turned 7 I got a bike, then when I was 9 a soccer party at the park and laser tag, then when I was 12 a movie theater birthday to see Harry Potter and the Chambers is secret.

That's so nice of your husband & kids to respect your sleeping time. I'm glad to hear that =) And that's an interesting list of birthday surprises that you'd got over the period.

@ShyBear88 : ah, I get that now. I'm a heavy sleeper and I truly know how heavenly we feel when we are not disturbed by anyone when we sleep.

There is no particular time of year for me. I am always grateful to celebrate my birthday with my immediate family annually.

I understand. Even when I was in school days, most of the time it would fall on the school reopening day after the annual or summer vacation. So I hardly celebrated year on year. So how did you feel when they arranged for a cake?

@smileyhema It was good but it was a weird combination as they sought for an eggless cake , it was not so fluffy , still I would recollect as a good memoir ...
