1889 - The first long-distance electric power transmission line in the Unites States was completed, running 14 miles between a generator at Williamette Falls and downtown Portland, Oregon.
1925 - Tony Curtis was born. He was an American film actor. His career spanned 60 years and he made more than 100 films. Some of his better-known roles: 1953 - Houdini, 1959 - Some Like it Hot, 1959 - Operation Petticoat, 1965 - The Great Race, 1968 - The Boston Strangler. He is the father of Jamie Lee Curtis of Halloween fame. He is pictured above with first wife, Janet Leigh. He was married 6 times. He died in 2010.

Good morning.Tony Curtis was my idol.I loved him when he first hit the screen.
I used to have all him pictures and autograph one.I know that he was married a few times.But six.
Maybe you can name all of his wives for us.If you feel like it.Thank you.
