Ten TV Series That “Everybody” Watched Except Me: CSI (#8)

As prime time settles in over the east coast and people prepare to watch TV I’m giving you another TV show out of all of those “classic” series that I never watched. Can you believe it? Me neither. Here’s today’s show. #8: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation And that goes for all their spinoffs, CSI Miami, CSI New York, CSI Los Angeles, CSI Rooster Run, Kentucky, etc. I guess you can blame ol’ Quinn Martin for my disdain. Back in the late 60s and early 70s dang near everything was “A Quinn Martin production” (as it said in the opening credits with the same guy doing the voiceovers). My parents liked The FBI, so that was required viewing (or else I went to my room and played records....glad Buck Owens was so prolific ). From there it was Barnaby Cannon on the Streets of Invaders Cisco at 12 O’Clock. In part two of this I’m going to count down the popular TV shows that I did watch. One of them will explain why I didn’t particularly care for “gritty crime drama” that’s become so prevalent. But I’m in the minority here. the CSI series was popular enough to spawn spinoffs in different cities and to last for fifteen years. There are enough reruns of this thing where it could have its own cable channel! Guess it wouldn’t do me any good to try my hand at crime because I’d get caught right away, not knowing what they look for.
