World Cup fever is on. The tournament started with few one sided not so interesting matches. But then last few have been exciting ones where the teams that are not considered so strong have given a nail biting fight and have even managed to walk the winning line. But today is quite special day. Especially for those who love to see Indian Cricket team. They have a huge fan following across the Globe. This is India's first match in the tournament. South Africa as won the toss and chose to bat. And so the fun begins in some time. I am sure millions and millions of cricket lovers across the Globe and fans of these two strong teams will be cheering up for them. We are all done with our work. For next few hours, we will be glued to the TV. Few friends and family are also going to join us. So we are ready with the ambiance and enough food and drinks for all to enjoy! Today is holiday on account of Eid. There can be no better way to spend a holiday. What are your plans for the day?

@arunima25 I miss those old days while I would follow cricket so religiously but these days I am not interested. Till Sachin remained in cricket I would watch India`s match but momentarily there is a lot of cricket ever since IPL started and T20 took the lead. Although this very short time of cricket has also been an exquisite proposition , I feel cricket has been manipulated in a number of ways.

@Starkinds yes , gone are those days while I watched ball to ball in 96 world cup , then world cup 99 in England , 2003 I did not follow up but still always took a glimpse of matches. I remember that Ind-Pak match in 1996 which made an average Indian bowler more than a superstar Venkatesh Prasad.

I feel the same too.I can't seem to draw the same kind of enthusiasm while watching a cricket match but I was terribly fond of it during the era when the Australians were super mighty and the Indian team had the gems like Sachin,Sourav,Dravid etc.

I'm just waiting to finish work and get home. Looks like we've been getting wickets which is a good start.

At my home, hubby and children were hurriedly doing the works for making them free in afternoon. Yesterday, we rearranged the things at one room (as we shifted in January, we did not get enough time to do these works) and managed to finish the works before the games started. Thankfully India won the match.

@Teekaaa I did it when Sachin was there. Not after his retirement. I am not familiar with the new faces except Dhoni. So my interest reduced. Honestly my interest gone on cricket after the Scams. Still I managed to watch whenever Sachin plays.

@ShifaLk Kids, family, job, chores and other stuff took a control over me. Otherwise I would have been still crazy about it. My husband is another crazy one about all sports. So he would record a match if we can't see it. We enjoy it later. Most of Olympic events we saw the recorded. Especially Deepa's event. Glad that he had recorded it.

I am not much interested in it now. But I was crazy about sports like cricket, tennis and others during school and college days. Now I don't miss important matches and Olympic events.

Your children are not interested in watching the gsme. There might be a conflict of interest then. Hope India bats really well and they too get tempted to join you.
