Ten TV Series That "Everybody" Watched Except Me: Laverne & Shirley (#6)

At the halfway point of this countdown I'll reiterate what I'm doing. Last year I counted down albums that "everybody" owned except me, then did a countdown of classic movies that "everybody" saw but me. This completes the trifecta: classic TV shows that I never watched.
#6: Laverne & Shirley
If you're into "six degrees," this spun off from Happy Days, which spun off from Love, American Style. Come to think of it, the theme song to this song sounded a little like the theme to Love, American Style. 
Why didn't I watch it? Believe it or not, I wasn't that big a fan of Happy Days to begin with. So I didn't watch that very often. A spinoff interested me even less.
Of course, by that time I was far more interested in listening to music nonstop than worrying about what was on the tube.
Definitely a classic sitcom, just not one that I was interested in.

I liked Happy Days until Fonzie Jumped the Shark. I never liked the characters on Laverne & Shirley especially Squiggy. So I only watched a few episodes. Kind of a bad imitation of the Lucy Show. Anyway, I have to say Michael McKean wound up having a very successful acting career with roles in Spinal Tap and Better Call Saul.

Believe it or not the reason I never heard of Laverne and Shirley before my relatives moved from Panama to the U S in 1978 was that no television station in Panama carried it at all.
