Weird Word Wednesday- Limerence / myLot

I've certainly had crushes on boys and men. I never knew that another word for that mushy, heart-throbby feeling was '"limerence". I just learned it tonight. It's frustrating at best and heartbreaking at worst, when you have strong romantic feelings for someone but they simply don't feel the same about you. Awkward is the way I describe the situation when a person is really crushing on you, but you have no interest in them at all. Most folks don't want to hurt anyone. but if you don't feel the same, you just don't. The best kind of infatuation is mutual, don't you agree?

I've experienced all three types of limerence. How about you?

I've never heard of the word before, what are the three types? I do get infactuated but I think I would be scared if it was reciprocated.

Thank you @Orson_Kart. The three types of infatuation I described in my post...1. When you are infatuated with someone who doesn't feel the same about you,.2. When someone has feelings for you but you don't have romantic feelings in return, and 3. mutual infatuation.
