The "Senior Walk"

Japan
June 6, 2019 2:09am CST
Today is the day before our seniors (12th graders) graduate from high school. Today they put on their graduation caps but not their robes, and walked through the halls of the school. All the other students waited for them and cheered as they came by. Most of them enjoyed the attention and cheering, but there were a few who were kind of embarrassed by the cheering and clapping. Of course those were the ones who probably deserved the most cheering because they are the quiet and hard-working studious kids. How would you feel making that kind of walk and being cheered by your friends and younger students?

i was never a top student but i would also get embarrassed when i get praises or thanks from teachers and classmates at times when i did something or contributed something really good.

@petatonicsca but i agree i also had humble stellar classmates and also those that would make fun of themselves and clown around to downplay their achievements.

I think that is an awesome way for them to feel honored that they will be graduating.
