Being a gentle person.... / myLot

Today one of my colleague came to me and handed me some work, which I didn't refuse. Being soft person I do feel people take me little for granted, but that's okay because I was free. Again after an hour, he came up with something else.... I mean now, "No" Not all times I have to be a gentle person, I may loose sometimes. I refused him to do, and the consequence was he created an issue out of it. Auuuuhhhh.... I don't understand why...??? Why are soft people always on target...???

Sometimes kindness is taken for weakness!!! I had to learn to say no!! I still try to help but within reason!!

That is so common. People often take soft people to be weak people. So it is very necessary to be polite and firm. Set up limits and let others respect it. Glad that you said NO to him.

I am a person of faith and soft hearted so I often refer to the Bible verse that says Matthew 5:9-"Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called children of God". To me, that verse is worth ALL of the being walked on I get!
