National Chocolate Ice Cream Day 1982 - Priscilla Presley opens Graceland to the public. 1958 - Prince (Prince Rogers Nelson) was born. He was an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, actor and filmmaker. In 1982 he came out with "1999" (SEE BELOW). Purple Rain, Little Red Corvette. He sold over 100 million records and won 7 Grammys, 6 American Music Awards, 1 Golden Globe and 1 Academy Award. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. He died in 2016. 1917 - Dean Martin (Dino Paul Crocetti) was born. He was an American singer, actor, producer and comedian. He was the "King of Cool" and part of the "Rat Pack". Some of his songs: That's Amore, Ain't That a Kick in the Head?, Everybody Loves Somebody. Some of his movies: Some Came Running, Rio Bravo, Airport, Ocean's 11 and Robin and the 7 Hoods. He was part of the famous duo of Martin and Lewis (Jerry Lewis) from 1946-1956. He was a heavy smoker and died in 1995 after being diagnosed with lung cancer two years earlier. He died of emphysema.
