My ADOPTED DAUGHTER: "Is She LOVELY?"

I am sure some of you will be puzzled about this claim. To make it clear, I treated my pets as my children. At present, I have two dogs. Now, I have a new dog and her name is Shai. She is a one-year-old dog. To cut the story, Shai was being adopted by my family. For the reason that she was not being taken care of our close friend. She doesn't looks like a shih tzu in this picture. It is because her fur turned to be like dreadlocks. Thus, we need to trim it. "Are you open to adopting a pet?" "Have you tried to adopt a pet?" This breed of dogs seems very popular in your country, all Filipinos on this site have shih tzu dogs. Your adopted daughter is lovely.

I think that most of the local people here love this kind of dog. Shai is so friendly and greeted me every morning.

@Shavkat Your dog is indeed cute. Here in Europe there is a "fashion" even for dogs, some years ago everyone had Golden Retriever, than small dogs like Chihuahua, now the Huskies seem the preferred.

@LadyDuck I had seen this kind of show on TV only. I find it so interesting to join in. I suddenly missed my golden retriever.

I adopted my spitz because my father just made him as his guard dog. So i took him and let him sleep and eat inside the house, my father only keeps his beloved chohuahuas in his room

It is nice that you companions in the house. Honestly, I wanted to have a chihuahua. It was being planned before Shai came into the house.

Please do not be angry with me if I say that it is not correct to call our pets our children, Yes, I have noticed that people treat their dogs and cats as warmly as family. I do take care of my pets, too, but a dog remains a dog and never a daughter. Somewhere in the biblical prophecies, it was said though that the time is near when humans and animals communicate. Considering what is happening now, I do suppose the time is really near.

@eileenleyva I think you know what I mean and not picking on you just do not understand how sometimes religious people think they so better. What I read and how I took it. I get daughters more important than a dog but bet you tell your daughter you more more important than fido she will say no. Its just let people have their little thing to smile for a bit. Does not have to be your view just how we all get by one day to the next and anything that is willing to die for you is indeed family.

I can feel that you have a soft spot with domestic animals, too. I do agree that she is a cutesy one. I also felt bad that some people seemed so irresponsible about getting their own pet.

She is a sweet looking pet for sure. My cat is adopted, and I am definitely open to adopting another, but it has to be the right fit. Also, pets cost money to take care of, so I have to make sure I can afford all the possibilities.

I agree. Some people think that pets are toys. It is a wrong notion. That's what we really felt bad for Shai's welfare when still being with our close friend. We really need to anticipate the cost of things needs for them.

It does sound silly for me. Since I am not married and no children, I think it is best to treat them as my children. In my own perspective, domestic animals can be treated as our owns. For the reason that they still fall into a mammal species.

Nothing wrong with that and they act like children who can also look out for us so actually neat in a way. Never got why people disrespect their dogs, those not worthy as us animals will save your life one day or could. They definitely not less than us, probably more than us considering how many people behave.

very cute, I have one that I was going to foster three days after my beloved senior had passed, She came at the right time for me. Your dog is a adorable, so cute, I don't like to have to worry about grooming, I will give it a bath, but rather not deal with hair cuts for them, So i go for short hair dogs, which work best for me.
