A matter of some "change"

Now a days, I tend to use electronic money or mobile wallets for most of the things I buy or do in my day to day things. However sometimes I have to use cash. Most difficult time is when I board a rickshaw or Auto-Rickshaw where I have say a 100 rupees note and I have to pay a net of 10 or 20 rupees. At times, the other person doesn't has a change. We have to ask from people around us for a change. Luckily when it happened today, we readily found the change. Well it was just a matter of "change"!

We are rapidly becoming a cashless society even when purchasing small items we can just tap our card on the card reader wihout even having to key in your password or pass number. I rarely have cash on me so I would have to go to a machine or into a shop to buy somethng and get cash back.

@garymarsh6 well I too rarely need to use cash now but some of the things need to be settled in cash.

This is a common problem in India... I always make sure to have change before taking any public transport, have faced similar issues in past and due to hurry I gave entire amount to the rickshaw person and asked him to keep the change.

@Aansh13 I think we should also include rickshaw pullers in Ola and Uber. I think this can help them.

Some bus conductors, deliberately say he does not have change and keep the money with him. Some will politely asks, please go and seated mam, and does not provide ticket

Do you have paytm? Just asking on fun, as the add shows even an auto rickshaw man is handling with this facility. I always make sure that to keep the change before catching a bus. Once, on my way to school with my son, early morning, I given 100 rupee note for 10 rs fare. The conductor asked me to catch another bus as he did not have change for it. I did not said anything but instead of getting down, I seated along with my son. (there was only two stops distance to school). On watching me, seated, he asked me to give the 100 rupee note and given back 90 rs. My son looks on me with surprise. I said to him, he thought we will get down and catch another bus, why should I do. I have paid and it is his problem he refused to accept it.

@Sreekala many Auto rickshaws are now with Ola and Uber but rickshaw pullers are not. Conductors normally hesitate to give the change.
