Back when I did the countdown of classic films that “everybody” has seen except me I mentioned that I’d never watched Rocky. That prompted Andria to ask if I was Amish and didn’t have a TV or something. After today’s entry in classic TV series that I’ve never watched you might ask that question again. Here’s today’s entry. #2: American Idol You almost had to be Amish or not have a TV to avoid this show! There’s nothing wrong with talent shows. The big one from just before my era was Arthur Godfrey’s Talent Scouts, which helped bring Patsy Cline to national prominence. I just don’t have an interest in commercial, modern music, especially as manipulated as it is today. Because of that, it was rather easy to avoid this show. And I’ve successfully done that for fifteen years and counting!
