Osteophyte.

Osteophyte or bone spur is basically a tiny pointed bony growth in the bone. It can be caused by inflammation or degeneration of cartilage in the joints. Last Saturday, I also got the chance to consult the ortopedic surgeon together with my husband and asked about the pain in my heels especially in the morning or after activities. Today, I got the result of the x-ray of my heels and as suspected I have a mild bilateral heel spurs. I am thankful it is mild. Now, I am searching on ways to cure this (if there is any). According to the doctor, this is also caused by wearing flat shoes. He said it is better for woman to wear a little wedge shoes or rubber shoes than wearing flat shoes. Okay, so that maybe the cause of my spurs. I regularly wear rubber shoes, but other than that, it is always flat shoes, slip on or slippers ever since I became a full time mom. What footwear do you usually wear?

I always wear shoes that are wedges or with a slightly high heels. That because my sole gets sore when I am in flats. I have plantar faciitis that is why. I am prohibited from wearing flats. It should be a about an inch or two higher than the front.

I wear Converse sneakers almost every day. I used special gel inserts for my shoes when I had my heal spur.

I never wear flat shoes, I wear wedge heels at home, usually 4 to 5 cm and never flip flops, they ruin the feet.

@rakski I knew from many years that sneakers and flip flop are very bad for our feet. Sneakers cause fungus, flip flops cause other kind of problems. I never walk barefooted, it is even dangerous if there is something on the floor and you do not notice.

I heard how painful that can be from others. My feet don’t bother me. I’m usually in flip flops, but wear sneakers for exercise and sports, heels when I dress up, and all types of leather sandals when I’m not at home.

Thanks it's a mild ailment and it could be cured by wearing a wedge pair of shoes or rubber shoes.
