Flying ants in the kitchen...

First we had regular ants in the kitchen/dining area. Now we have some of those but majority are flying ants.
I tried to kill one and somehow it ended up crawling up my hand. I screamed and tried to get it off my hand. Have no idea where it went but now I feel like something's crawling all over me. And another flying sucker that was on one of the cabinets almost flew at my face.
My kitchen window is full of flying ants, as is the balcony next to it that also has regular ants crawling on it. I want to try smashing them all but afraid to come near them because there are many and I am afraid they will get on me if I try to squish them.
I can try the vinegar/water mixture but I don't have a spray bottle. But even if I did I'd be scared to spray at them. And putting that on the floor is no use I think because they are not on the floor anymore. I wish hubby was home to take care of it. Sunday, he just took a bounty and got rid of them like it's no big deal. I wish I was brave like that.
I know the ants are small and I should not be scared of them but they freak the hell out of me, especially if they get on me. I don't want them in the house but at least they are better than having bees and such.

Ohhh nooo. Never had it!!! 3 years ago a groipe of bees entred the kitcken it was scarry moment hahaha

We had bees last summer. They were mostly outside the balcony door or where the two sites of the door meet. But some somehow got inside the house. I ran screaming.

It's ant time at our house too. I absolutely can't stand them; and when they crawl on me I freak out. I HATE ANTS! The flying ones usually die off pretty quickly. Yechh! I don't envy you.

@lovebuglena They come every year. Sometimes it's because there's too much rain. Other than that I don't know. We get ants and mice every year regardless of where we live. And, no, we aren't dirty people that leave food around.

I know they are just ants and they won't kill me but still... I don't want them anywhere near me or on me especially.

I don't know if they give me goosebumps but they freak me out, especially when I find one crawling on me or right next to me.
