Be sure the song you buy is really the song you want

I've bought many accompaniment CDs to sing with over the years.
But I had no idea two totally different songs could have the same title. That's just wrong.
I ordered "In Christ Alone" and was so surprised when it came and wasn't at all what I thought I had ordered.
ChristianBook.com agreed to a return, so that's good.
Have you ever ordered an item and received something different? Did you have trouble returning it?

I did that once as a young teen. I can't remember the song now, but I bought those smaller 33 1/3s . . . I bought one based on what I thought was the title . . . but when I played it at home it was totally not what I wanted. Back then though I didn't know much about returning things (I am sure my mom paid for it, but she never returned anything). So I was stuck with it.

@1creekgirl Nope. At the time, I felt so guilty I wasted my parents' money - so I didn't even bother getting another one. I don't exactly remember, but it's quite possible I didn't even know about returns or exchanges back them.

The back up singers on accompaniment CD's are unknowns, so it's hard to know who the original artist was. I've been buying them for years, but this was the first time it was a completely different song.

I'm glad they will fix the problem. I have never had that problem as I don't often order products. I usually do my shopping at brick and mortar places and look at and touch what I buy.

I usually order from either Amazon or QVC and both of them have very generous return policies but yes I have noticed that songs can have the same name and be wrong!! It just isn't right lol

@1creekgirl It is hard though unless you can actually listen to it. Many of the praise songs have similar or identical names.

no ma'am. 've ne'er ordered such. 've 'd damaged thingies 'rrive 'n no troubles gettin' replacements quickly. the funniest 'twas the ups fella runnin' o'er the box right'n front 'f me....he 'twas horrified.

I have not had any problems in a long time but yes, it is always good when you get something you thought was different and they take it back. I got lucky with a shipment of cat food. It just didn't come and the company Chewy said online that it was delivered. So what to do since I did not get it and I had no proof. I told them about it and got a new shipment which I received and they even wished my Sid well That always makes one feel great when you can rely on a company like this.

I used to buy songs in a package. Actually there were only 2 or 3 songs (I wanted) of 15 songs already packed.

I thought ChristianBook.com closed down. did they reopen or is it a different company now?
Yeah, I can imagine there would be problems getting the right song as I know at least 3 different ones with that same title. Hope they will fix it for you!

Wow. Well, I'm happy they didn't mind returning it.
I did write down the item # for a top I saw at a store. Loved the top, it just didn't come in my size. Ordered it off of the website, it came and not only was a dress not a top, but was smaller yet. Happily I returned it easily
