I hate it when people expect me to perform some basic operation on their phone, computer or wi-fi, like switching it on, off, altering volume or changing tracks & channels. They seem to assume that I'll find the right button or knob instantly rather than looking at the devise in bafflement or pressing the wrong buttons entirely.
Though I use a computer and a basic phone, I am generally technophobic. My understanding of I-Phones, Bluetooth, and virtual reality, IT and AI is negligible. Most devises are indistinguishable from magic to me.
It seems to amuse some people to watch me struggle to know what buttons do what on their devises, which are often beyond my affordability and which I feel would not enrich my life in any way even if I had them. It is often snobbery or the amusement of watching a savage make sense of their sense of civilization.
Having bluetooth to me is a reason to go to the dentists.
Youtube that seems rather apt to how people react to my lach of techno-know-how.

@owlwings No I just don't have time to watch it! The girls occasionally watch a DVD but luckily they mostly know how to make it work, or else they have to call Dad. I miss the 'old days' when you could just press the 'on' button, now you need two or three remote controls with different functions.
