When People Don't Think Before they Post....

I saw a Facebook post from the amusement park, Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. They announced a special for Military Veterans. They have a few Military Appreciation Days where currently serving and veterans get in free. They also have a reduced rate for us every day. I guess someone was all caught up in the D-Day anniversary. They recommended a day be set aside for just WWII Veterans. I guess this person didn't do the math. WWII Veterans are in their 90s. I doubt they make up much of the Roller Coaster market anymore. Either way, I won't be making it to my favorite amusement park anytime soon, but I hope a lot of my Brothers and Sisters in Arms can take them up on their promotion.

They don’t teach math anymore. Nor history, apparently.

Or critical thinking skills. I mean, we did just remember the 75th anniversary of D-Day, so it's not like a mystery number lost in historic trivia. lol

Yes, that was the announcement, and this Veteran greatly appreciates it. However, the post was suggesting the promotion should only be for WWII Vets.

Yup they didn't realize it maybe they are trying to appeal their dependents and not the veterans themselves.

Though, you never know. My Hubby loves roller coasters. He may still like them in 15 years.

if they 90 plus they maybe need to slash the prices of the old folks homes and medication this will be better fit here.

Well, all WWII Veterans are eligible for VA and Veterans Homes. But yes, I do like how you think! That would be a better honor for them, wouldn't it.

It's been a few years since I have been to an amusement park but I have to say I don't remember seeing a lot of 90 year old vets running around the park. I guess you got to give it to them for at least trying to think about the WWII vets. It was a thought, just not a lot of thought.

Somebody has to bring the point of clarification. The limitation mentioned in the post seems ridiculous and impractical. It should be clarified and change sholud be made.
