Sorry I haven't been here much today. A Facebook friend passed away today, and my aunt is in ICU. Just a rough day. I think I'm all cried out now, at least I think, and I'm ready to give you another TV series that included, among the millions watching, me! #8: Moonlighting One of the things I remember most about this series was the episode where they busted down the "fourth wall:" Maddie and David were having an argument and using the word "frigging" a lot. Finally Maddie said, "What's a 'frig'?" David turned to the camera and replied, "They know." Cybill Shepherd had a number of successes in the 70s, including appearances in the critically-acclaimed films The Last Picture Show and Taxi Driver, before her career fizzled. Bruce Willis was an unknown. That all changed with this show. Splendidly mixing comedy, mystery, and drama in a way that I hadn't seen since Burke's Law, Moonlighting became an instant hit. It was a can't-miss show for years, until it, like so many others, "jumped the shark." I guess all shows have to do it eventually. But man, was this a fun show to watch in its heyday! Moonlighting Aired on ABC 1985-1989 The opening and closing credits, featuring the late Al Jarreau:

Sorry for your loss and will put your aunt in my prayers. I absolutely loved Moonlighting and would watch it again if I could find an online site that ran this show. It was a favorite of me and my mom so it also has good memories and I remember my mom and I cheering when Maddie and David finally got together.

Just came across this in a sidebar "You Might Also Like"... That pic of Bruce caught my eye. He was sexy-looking back then: slim, hair on top of his head... Yeah, I watched it too.

Thanks. My aunt seems to be doing better today, but she's far from "out of the woods."

@FourWalls I am so so sorry all you are going through. I loved Bruce Willis in Moonlighting and also saw Burke's Law too. Take care of yourself and so so sorry about your friend passing away and your Aunt in ICU. I had a couple of friends pass away on Facebook and I miss them. It is hard.

Thank you. My aunt seems to be doing a little better. They’re weaning her off the ventilator.

There's always one! I'd heard of this one, but never saw it. Probably because I was working a lot of late shifts and didn't have a VCR, way back then
