National Lobster Day 1667 - The first human blood transfusion is administered by Dr. Jean-Baptiste Denys. 1752 - Ben Franklin proves that lightning is electricity. 1964 - Courteney Cox was born. She is an American actress, producer and director. She is best known for her role as Monica Geller on the series Friends. She also became one of the highest paid actresses of all time when she was paid $1 million per episode for the last two seasons. She was Gale Weathers in the Scream movies and Jules Cobb in Cougar Town. She owns the production company Coquette with her ex-husband David Arquette. 1963 - Helen Hunt was born. She is an American actress, director and screenwriter. She played Jamie Buchanan in Mad About You from 1992-1999 and won 3 Golden Globes and 4 Primetime Emmys for her performances. I remember the movie Twister - "We got cows." My husband and I just saw As Good As It Gets a couple of weeks ago.
