@raksk Both sides win since Chobani gets some great public relations and a school can pay the bills.

I love it when a food company gives me to people in need.

Wouldn't it be nice if food companies would give significant discounts -- or FREE -- food to the schools for the lunches? And by that, I mean vegetables, not Fritos.

That would a great idea since a healthy school lunch is needed for all students to have sharp minds as well as bodies.

@JohnRoberts — sorry, the PC police are chasing him, so he’s living in exile with Speedy Gonzales.

All students should have a healthy lunch. I look at the crap that my school offers the non-free lunch kids and it is awful. There are kids with 4 cookies and a bag of chips and that is their lunch. At least the healthy lunch line requires them to have a vegetable and fruit with their meal. Yes, many throw them out but some of them eat it.

It is a shame that some school lunches are not healthy for kids.

I heard that Chobani was doing this, I love their yogurt, I hope more companies follow suit, because a kid can’t do well in school if they are hungry!

I agree with you that more food companies should assist schools around the globe to pay off school lunches where the debts are pretty high.
