Father's Day National Fudge Day 1890 - Stan Laurel (Arthur Stanley Jefferson) was born. He was an English actor, comedian, writer and film director. He was half of the duo of Laurel & Hardy. They started acting together in 1927 and appeared in 107 short films, feature films and cameos. Laurel retired when Hardy passed away in 1957. He never recovered from his death; and refused to appear on stage or act in a film without his friend. He died in 1965. Meager pickings today, MyLotters.
