full of paper, but not paper money! a flyer for microsavings. a loyalty reward card at the spa where i have my body massage. a piece of paper with the name of the rehab doctor and hospital recommended by the eye doctor that upgraded my glasses. another piece with the phone numbers of another spa near me, but by appointment only. i walked in twice and was told both times they were fully booked. a pricelist from a sushi food stall. a flyer from a derm clinic. receipts from the watch repair shop to replace the battery, an acupuncture session, and a waxing salon. so which will i keep? the spa loyalty reward card. i want to clarify first if it's still valid. the sushi pricelist. i really want to take home 8 pieces (the smallest order) the next time i go to that supermarket where their stall is located. the receipts from the watch repair shop and waxing salon, so i'll know the price and the name of the staff the next time i'm there. the rest i can check online via their website, facebook page, even blog reviews. do you have a neat wallet with only the essentials?

What's inside my wallet are just the essentials. I've stopped the practice of keeping the receipts and other stuffs.

@florelway so bills should be filed together, away from your wallet?

@hereandthere, some receipts go directly to the trash, others I keep for a while for some reference which later on go to trash eventually. The other stuffs which I may use later I keep in a small plastic. It's for positive vibes to not mix bills with other stuffs just my belief.

@rakski,that is very practical my friend, no hassle. Me, those old receipts were thrown to trash and the latest are placed in other bag.

I am lucky if I even find my wallet in my purse . It seems like I have a neat wallet only after cleaning it and maybe for a few days after . I need to organize as things come - I tend to cram receipts and such thinking I would get to it later (which becomes never ).

@hereandthere Oh I've done that too - many times ! My gift cards are all over the place. I actually have a little wallet thing that I keep the gift cards in . . . but if I use any part of it, it never seems to go back in - I literally throw it in the purse to put away later (that later never happens ).

@hereandthere I put all the cards in the card holders, I have 2, one for the important cards, the others for the different "supermarket cards".

@LadyDuck there was a supermarket i used to go to, but when the big competitor supermarket was built here, i can only go there about once a month so it takes a while for the card to build points. but i still go because they carry brands and sizes that aren't carried by the big supermarket here.

@hereandthere not often. I just bring money with me that is enough for shopping. That way I can control my expenses. However, if I need to buy something and don´t have cash, I pay with my card. Germany is more of a cash country than with paying master card or debit card.

Oh and here I thought this was going to be a good problem: A wallet full of cash. My wallet, though it need regular maintenance, is pretty neat, at least most of the time. My husband gives me most of the gift cards that he accumulates. Now, that's a good problem. I've actually had to get another wallet just for gift cards so that my main wallet doesn't get too cluttered.

I have a relatively neat wallet, I try to clean it out once a week and only keep the essentials. I also have a separate card holder (like the ones you get when someone gives you a gift card) that I keep ALL my gift cards in and keep it in the bottom of my purse. otherwise it's too much in one wallet
