Do you wash the dishes?

One of the things I hate doing is postponing to do the dishes. After lunch, we usually have lots of dishes to wash: plates, spoons, frying pan, and the likes. Many times my wife often does the dishes as soon as we are done with our lunch. But when she doesn't do it, I can understand because she did all the cooking herself. So, I usually take over dealing with the dishes. It's a piece of cake actually compared to cooking lunch that requires cooking skills of course.
Do husband and wife share the work of washing the dishes or is it a wife's responsibility?

Handwashing it is much cleaner, I would think.

@nela13 Maybe. I haven't got a dishwasher yet. I'll get one to know it's better

I do wash dishes but most of the time it's my wife who does it.

Since I am at work most of the time, washing the dishes is done by my wife too.

@yanzalong It seems it's her routine work, but when I am around I do the washing of dishes too.

My boyfriend helps me with dishes if I wash them then he will dry and take care of them and vise versa. I hate washing them by hand and hoping when we move into our own place that we will get a dish washer, I would be happy.

Always wash up by hand as I gave up the dish washer that was always breaking.
I did like using the dishwasher when my youngest was very small as it disinfected all the dishes very well and helped him a lot to cope with asthma.

I prefer to handwash them myself I feel I am doing something instead of machines.
