If you travel at night your sleeping time is not maximized. You tend to doze on and off , thus lacking sleep. I have this experience for more than a year. I used to travel back home weekly. I didn't choose to travel in the day time as this meant losing a day's time to be together with my family. So, I chose to travel back to work at night so that I would arrive early in the morning. The problem was that I felt very tired working in the first day of the week after the weekend.

You travel by ship? I think, if it is by ship, one can have the bed and ne asleep.
But when it's an air-conditioned bus where the chair can be reclined, like the one we have here , I also cannot sleep well. Thus, the next day, I will be sleeping when I arrive home.

I travel by ship and bus as well. Not all ships have beds or other facilities for sleeping. However comfortable it is, sleeping during the trip is not enough to keep us fit for the next day's activity. Don't you think so?

@yanzalong Well, it depends on the person travelling if he can sleep well even at any kind of sleeping positions and place.

I'm always out late at night and travel home late. I prefer traveling at night time as it's less traffic then during the day. I'm not tired the first day of the work week as on Sunday's it's my relaxing day at home. I do my outings Friday & Saturday and if I'm still gone til Sunday then I get home early.
