Mamoni is getting married soon and she is grateful to me.

Mamoni grew up in our foster care home. She was taken in after her mother died. She had her primary school education in the school within our campus. Then, she went to two different schools to pass her class 8. Due to her weakness in mathematics she joined NIOS, an open schooling system which permits students to choose subjects according to their strength and liking. I taught her through the four years to help her pass her higher secondary examinations. Then, she joined a nursing school in Kolkata. Now, she is a nurse in a government hospital. She is grateful to me because I was her only teacher, guide and philosopher those four years. And now that she is going to get married she expressed her gratitude before our staff and her would-be in-laws. What else can make a teacher more proud?

That's wonderful. You have every reason to be really proud - not just of Mamoni but of yourself. You are an inspiration and such a godsend to these children.

That's a reward... Seriously. In a life time if you could be of help even to a one person, I think this fulfilling. I can understand. Wishing her luck...
