I know two people at church who have recently had shingles. One of them still has it as far as I know.
The other day I noticed these two bumps on my lower back that I thought were bug bites. Today there are one or two more.
I've read that if you are coming down with shingles that you feel like you are getting the flu and whatever, and I don't really--I am a little achy, but that could be from something else.
However, since I have had chicken pox and all, and I don't want to give this to my co workers or anything, or anyone else at church, I figured I should go get the bumps checked out.
My appointment's in about half an hour, which isn't time to catch a bus, so I guess I'll be calling a Lyft. I really don't think I have it, but better safe than sorry. If it turns out I do have it, well I'll have to call my boss to say I can't come in any time soon, and all of that fun stuff.
I don't mind days off, but I didn't want to have any due to something like this...

Yikes, 3 times !?
Well, the doctor I saw today said she didn't think the bumps on my back were shingles, but she took a photo of the bumps and said they'd monitor them and to call if they changed at all.

Let's hope it is not shingles but you are wise to have it checked.
The virus that causes shingles, the varicella zoster virus, is spread through direct contact with fluid from the rash blisters.

Oh, I'm sorry and I really hope you DON'T have shingles! I've heard that's some ferocious pain.
Thankfully, I've never had chicken pox.
