Pickle juice as a brine

I saw an interesting recipe on Facebook the other day--baked breaded chicken tenders that had been brined in dill pickle juice. Supposedly the pickle juice is the secret to Chik-Fil-A's chicken. I've never eaten there, though, so I don't know how true that is.
Anyway, I have a ton of chicken in the freezer and I'm always looking for new ways to prepare it. I have the chicken defrosting and I will brine it tomorrow. You are supposed to do 8 hours but I don't know think I'll be able to get that long. I don't want to do it overnight, though, because I don't want the chicken to get mushy.
What do you think of this idea? Would you try it?

These juicy, flavorful chicken tenders are marinated in pickle juice then breaded and baked in the oven or air fryer!
