I know it is counterintuitive but what do you guys think about going to malls and nice stores to window shop and actually buy to beat boredom, depression or anxiety?
I started having less because they say less is more. Now I am in the process of having more of what is important to me which I haven't figured out lol.

You can get a lot out of just looking around the shops and imagining what you might buy or not.
Great therapy too.

I do not really like malls because it has too many people around and there are times that I feel drained seeing a lot of people around doing their business. But when I am in the mall already I try my best to go around and explore their merchandise even though I have no intent of buying them. When my wife is done then we just go home and I feel much more relax.

@yoalldudes yup I prefer to be home than out there. Although it’s literally cooler there but the people around just stresses me out.

Every so often I splurge on things but I prefer sales or buying when I really need things.

I have a list of things I will buy so I dont buy on impulse.
I have a lot of self control . I will just enjoy looking at the products.

This week I wanted to get some stuff and normally I will not get a lot of things if do not need them. I will stop and think before I decide to buy something and see if I need it or not.

Me too. I have not spend a dime on clothing for months now. And a lot to trim down on still.

there were times i bought things that i ended up not wearing or using, then eventually gave them away.
but it's also a good place to scout out things, to satisfy your curiosity, and to just sit and rest and enjoy the a/c.

Yes, when I still able to walk.
I go to the mall alone, window shopping, watching movie, or eat in the food court.

I always go to the mall just to walk around without buying anything. It's quite entertaining! But there are instances where I couldn't stand the temptation, but it is pretty rare.

@yoalldudes and it also makes things easier when I have to buy something. I mean when I do window shopping, I'll list the stuffs that I like to buy, check the price, then do a budget list when I return.
